It Ain't Easy Being Green

We're all gearing up to step into the International Arena, and we have so much to be proud of, here in BC. In particular, the natural wonders of our environment will be front and centre, and awareness of our impact is higher than ever. More and more, clients are looking seriously at efforts in environmental impact reduction as key criteria in choosing an event partner.

At BLD, we've been practicing the three R's for a long time, and have some new resources to share:

• We are using photodegradable plastics for shipping protection, as well as for our trash bags.
• We are using an eco-waste service that recycles all kinds of lumber (old sets, off-cuts, etc).
• Whenever we have usable housing or building products we need to dispose of, we donate to habitat for humanity or building recycling stores.

Visual Systems - Chocolate Bar

We are very pleased to present the Chocolate Bar Series, which is the first complete set in the Changeable World gallery. This gallery is unique in that it is designed to be customized to any event colour pallete you desire. We have built 8 new bar surrounds that can be finished with any fabric or texture you might have in mind. We have also built 8 new 7' x 7' square chandeliers that can be recovered in any colour. Within our chocolate series these new products also coordinate with new copper pintuck drape panels and tall twig decorative panels. The flexibility of these elements make it a snap to customize and scale a project, visually & financially.

Visual Systems - LightBoX & Drape

We are working hard to bring you decor that keeps pace with the industry, both in trends and in pricing. To this end, we have developed new pricing formulas and sales tools to get you the best value on all our products, delivered to you in seamless BLD fashion. Featured here are our acrylic bars, and white drape in a gala ice lounge environment. We have recently invested in over 1000' of white sheers, 200' of black sheers, and over 200' of white velour drape. For your convenience we have now priced all of our drape products on a per foot, installed basis.

Visual Systems - Inukshuks!

We have a lot of Inukshuks.
We were thinking they might come in handy this year. Our largest is 16', suitable for large venues or outdoor displays. Next up is a 6' model, suited to ballrooms. We also have a 4' tabletop Inukshuk, well suited to buffet displays, and we carry some cute little accent Inukshuks, for centerpiece purposes. Just wanted to let you know....
